I'm kinda hating on Oprah the last couple years and this didn't help it at all. First, her call to Larry King - 'You know, I get a cut of some book sales, which I use for my good works, and I don't think true is as important as pseudo-spiritual." Then she says that she was clouded by emails - "Lacking a clear personal standard of ethical behavior, I allowed my fans to sway me. My bad. I'll try and talk to my spirit about it." and she finishes off with mega-hypocrisy. "I'm taking a beating for standing by your book, so it's time for the crucifixtion, which will sell more books, because just making a statement that I was wrong wouldn't enhance my personal reputation. Only by going through a sham stoning can I restore my righteous perfection. "

Oprah? just. shut. up.

yeah good point. I mean the truth of the matter is if you are going to have a "job" like Oprah's, for all her profestations of trying to help people... when you get to that level your most important, and perhaps only, job is to manage your own image. Kinda of a sad way to live.
